Our Mission

Pocketful of Joy is a 501©3 non-profit organization which provides healthcare and educational opportunities to children living in northern Tanzania. The inspiration for Pocketful of Joy comes from the children and we believe that communication with them is essential in fulfilling our roles as facilitators and allies. Our work is based on the belief that a good education and access to resources such as healthcare are vital in achieving one’s full potential, both as an individual and as a member of a larger community. This belief fuels Pocketful of Joy’s work and we are wholly committed to empowering children in their pursuit of a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.
